I probably should be too embarrassed to do a Valentine’s post a WEEK after it’s over. But I just had to show you my XOXO blocks that I made. Life has been crazy around these parts, and so I actually didn’t even finish the blocks until the DAY AFTER Valentine’s.
*hang head in shame*
And even more shocking is that I STILL put them up. And they are, in fact, still there! Ha!
I refused to just put them away for a whole year after working so hard on them. I’m sure it must be a total decorating faux pas, but I don’t care. I love my little blocks :)
The best part about this project is it was free. I used old scrap wood, my trusty Rustoleum Colonial Red spray paint, and just some white craft paint from Wal-Mart. All of which I already had. Maybe that’s why I love my little blocks so much. Cute and frugal. My type of decorating!
P.S. Don’t worry. I think I’m finally ready to take them down today :)

super cute! I love them. I may use this idea to inspire me for something else...I will let you know if I do. my parents have a lot of old wood...I'm sure I could do something with it.
I think they look great!! Yeah for free crafts!!
can always feel the love - we don't need a certain day to do it!! Super cute - I always just adore your accessorizing! Got skills girl!
So cute! You are so talented! I LOVE them. I love all you decor though, it looks amazing.
They're great! I say, proudly display them the whole month of February!
Karyn,
I just love your projects. It looks really cute with your windows.
Best wishes,
Tammy
I think you can leave the Xoxo up until March. My favorite projects are the ones that I don't have to go out and buy anything else for. It makes me feel thrifty and efficient.
It's totally ok to leave valentine decor up during all of Feb. At least I do.... so cute, by the way.
