Shameless Project Showoff

I've just finished some projects that I thought I would show y'all . . . hence the title Shameless Project Showoff ;)

I just did a card exchange with the girls in my family. This is the one I did. Simple, but cute.

I picked up this little box at Hobby Lobby at their 90% off Christmas clearance. But I didn't have much use for it as a Christmas box.So I turned it into this. Added some ball feet, gave it a coat of white and some brown glaze. I like the way it turned out. And now my two-month long project. I got this little sewing table off Craigslist from an older woman that was storing it in her horse barn. It had been her friend's mother's table. And when she passed away, she didn't know what to do with it. So I took it off her hands. I removed the old sewing hardware. Gave it a good cleaning and sanding. Then added a coat of heirloom white paint. And finally a good distressing. Now I just need to find the perfect spot for it . . .
Joy over at Joys of Home helped me A LOT with this last project. Thank you Joy! You seriously are the best. And Meliessa at 320 Sycamore and Jen at Sactuary Arts at Home also gave me a few pointers along the way. You girls are awesome! Now on to my next projects . . .

I LOVE IT! Isn't it amazing how the paint brought out all the beautiful details in the table. It's so charming now, in fact, with all the accessories it looks like a photo from a magazine.
I'm so happy that I was able to help.

Hi Karyn,
What fabulous makeovers! :o) I hope this is not too silly of a question, but did you make the green balls? From the look of it, they are short dark green moss. I would love to make some, just not real sure how. :o)
Have a nice day!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

WOW! I am so impressed!!! I thought I was handy at fixing things up, but MAN! You did an amazing job with that table. It looks so so so so good! I love fixing up old things. I go to D.I. every now and then and see what I can find to re-do. It is fun. Oh and I love that christmas box. It is great. Good work.
